His position was as a defender come midfield (half-back),Jimmy Hill made him a regular during the 60's and is the only player to play for Coventry in Division 1,2,3 and 4 as well europe.He had some injuries which limited his games otherwise would have pushed George Curtis's Appearance record.Hill was the youngest player to play for Coventry until recently beaten by Gary McSheffrey.
Hill went on loan to Torquay in 1972,but decided to call it a day.
He had a testimonial game against Derby County,in which Brian Clough sent his first team,the game finished 1-1
