Son of former City forward Ted,a product of the city youth system.
Only got games when others were injured,but never let the side down with a good return of goals per game.When Ernie Hunt was signed in march 1968 manager Noel Cantwell sold Dudley to Mansfield Town where he became a legend scoring 73 goals from 231 matches.He helped Mansfield to FA Cup sucesses in seasons 68-69 and 69-70.Scored against Liverpool in those games.Moved to Scunthorpe but later retired due to a knee injury.Below are press cuttings from his time at Mansfield Town
